Word, clean rims suck. I like them to be all dirty and covered in brake dust.

Re: The Official Automotive Thread Version the Second
According to Motor Trend, the ZR1 is only the 6th best driver's car. When you have an 638hp beast that only weighs 3400 lbs, of course it's going to be scarier to drive than a 167hp Miata around a corner.

I think he means polished aluminum as opposed to brushed or painted.

Re: The Official Automotive Thread Version the Second
I don't like chrome wheels in general but the ZR1 in particular colors can pull it off. Personally I would love to get competition grey wheels on a black ZR1.

Chrome + White looks godly on a ZR1. I never really liked white Vettes but that ZR1 looks amazing.

man that ZR1, what a beast of an automobile. Chevy should put that bitch in GT1, that would eat MC12s alive.

Re: The Official Automotive Thread Version the Second
Wasn't the C6.R in GT1 for the longest time, moving down to GT2 with a ZR1-based car for better competition?

Maybe America is a different story, but i've yet to personally feel any type of negative effect from a recession.

A new mall just opened up in MALLZAC and thousands of people lined up there to spend their EI cheques.

Re: The Official Automotive Thread Version the Second
that was a great fight. I wish AMLS and FIA GT weren't so focused on endurance racing, and had a more static, sprint based schedule available.

So basically endurance racing is probably a better investment for the manufactures since it has more potential to yield new innovations that will eventually increase efficiency in their production models. |

Re: The Official Automotive Thread Version the Second
I tried to watch WTCC and BTCC for that type of close fighting action, but it quickly degrades into pathetically amateur racing, and alot of dirty driving. It's not very fun to watch at all.

Re: The Official Automotive Thread Version the Second
Yes. All the other manufacturers pulled support, they were the only ones still backing a team. Everyone else in ALMS was privately owned and backed.
